I wanted to share a quick blurb on food safety concerns. I'm all about being actively involved in making sure the powers that be keep our food supply safe! It's that neo-hippie thing again . . .
What issues do I have? Well, for one, I don't want genetically modified or engineered foods on my table or in the environment. And unfortunately, it's already out there and not required to be labeled! Yikes! I also don't want my food irradiated. Or the wrong pesticides and fungicides being used that kill off the honeybees or other wildlife and contribute to our ill health. There are many issues I have with food these days and I have a few websites that I get updates from that give me the opportunity to cast my vote on the issues.

http://www.ewg.org is the site for the Environmental Working Group which keeps up with all areas of concern with safe products and farming/food production.
All these are great sites to keep on your list or get updates from to keep you and your loved ones safe and healthy!
